Lilys - “Shovel Into Spade Kit”
From Better Can’t Make Your Life Better, which is one of my top 25 favorite albums probably. (Wait what it’s out of print?!?!?) Thanks to Eric for opening this particular door leading to awesomeness by just telling me to “dig this.”
It is both this song’s particular genius and its Achilles’ heel that it has so many hooks it can’t decide what its chorus is. Somewhere around here I’ve got the single remix of this song; I really need to dig it up.
