Anonymous asked: Hi, Douglas.

First, let me say that I enjoy and appreciate your reviews and criticism very much. Your book, Reading Comics, got me back into comics after more than a decade away. I aprticulalry appreciate your ability to talk about both mainstrema and "art" comics and your ability to write sophisticated jargon-free criticism for a wide audience.
One of the essays in reading Comics to which I was particularly attracted was on JIm Starlin's Warlock. So, I'm curious: what's your take on Abnett and Lanning's revival of the Marvel cosmic titles, especially many of Starlin's signature characters and themes.
Thanks.

Thank you, Clif! Glad you like the book. I’m actually pretty curious to read the Abnett/Lanning cosmic stuff—I didn’t even quite realize that they’d put together a whole mini-line until very recently. Wish I could say something of substance—!
